Not Sprunke is a fan-made music creation game built around character-based sound mixing. You can choose different characters, assign sound elements, and layer beats, vocals, melodies, and effects into a custom composition. MIX, LAYER, AND EXPERIMENT ON A NEW BACKGROUND
Instead of the usual interface, Not Sprunke takes you to a dilapidated brick setting against a dark red and gray backdrop, highlighting characters in contrasting neon colors. You will select sound icons and drag them onto characters in the mixing area. Each character contributes a different musical layer, allowing players to combine several sounds into one composition. Players can rearrange their selections and experiment with different combinations to discover interesting rhythms and melodies.
Because the colors and shapes don’t follow the old conventions, you can’t predict which character will be the beater or lead vocalist. Everything forces you to experiment all over again. In addition, unique pink pixel squares appear in the top two corners of the screen, a quirky interface detail that adds a retro touch.
Unique Character Designs
The game features six completely new characters, unrelated to the existing cast (such as Oren, Wenda, or Raddy):
- Purple-horned figure: Its angular design conveys a sense of menace even before it emits any sound.
- The Orange Headphones figure: Possesses mysterious, swirling black eyes, hinting at something unusual.
- Grey Screaming Figure: Featuring cat ears, terrified eyes, and a wide-open mouth full of teeth, this figure expresses emotions most authentically.
- Green flower figure: The petals surround a single large black eye with a green iris, creating a bizarre effect.
- Red-beaked figure: Possessing a long beak and dark eye sockets, it stands silently in a predatory manner.
- The Yellow Grinning Figure: Boasting a maniacal grin that reveals a mouthful of teeth, it stands beside a small, frightened blue figure.
