EXPERIENCE THE GAMEPLAY
In FNF NewJeans, note arrows will continuously scroll from the bottom to the top of the screen in time with the rhythm of K-Pop songs. Your objective is to press the corresponding arrow keys precisely as they touch the designated area (faded arrow frame) at the top of the screen. The screen displays a health bar dividing you from your opponent. When you press correctly (Sick, Good), the health bar will move in your favor. If you miss a key (Miss) or press the wrong key too many times, the health bar will drop in the opposite direction, resulting in a loss (Game Over).
Game’s Inspiration and Breakthrough K-Pop Music Videos
The biggest and most direct inspiration for this mod comes from the South Korean girl group NewJeans. The modding team thoroughly exploited the distinctive Retro Y2K aesthetic that the group pursued, from their costumes and fonts to the neon color palettes combined with pastel tones on stage. The rap battles in the game are directly inspired by the group’s iconic music videos (MVs): Attention, OMG, Ditto, Super Shy, OMG, or Ditto.
