The mod keeps the dark visual style while replacing the original beats, melodies, effects, and vocals with sounds created by the mod maker. GAMEPLAY GUIDE
Sprunke Phase 8 But I made all the sounds. WIP still employs the familiar, intuitive drag-and-drop mechanics of the Incredibox series:
- Choose your character: Observe the character icon tray at the bottom; each character now holds a brand new, custom sound track.
- Drag and Drop: Place up to 7 characters onto the empty spaces on the stage to begin stacking layers of musical instruments on top of each other.
- Discover the Combo: Thanks to the completely revamped sound design, familiar character combinations will create incredibly surprising and novel horror-themed mixes.
Dark Character Design
Despite a complete overhaul of the sound design, the game retains Phase 8’s signature “Exhaustion and Gloom” graphic style. The characters appear in chilling states:
- The Infected group: Oren, Clukr, Fun Bot, Vineria, Garnold, Durple, Mr. Tree, Simon, and Jevin appear in the form of mutated disease-carrying creatures.
- The Fallen group: Raddy, Gray, Brud, OWAKCX, Sky, Tunner, MFC, and Pinki are portrayed in dark, mournful costumes.
- Injured group: Mr. Sun appears with injuries and possesses a melancholic, gloomy vocal range.
- Mysterious group: Wenda and Black maintain ambiguous states along with bizarre sound loops.
